Set exact start and end points in the built-in editor. Montage mode joins 2 to 20 clips into one video up to 30 minutes long, with music if you want it.

Does Flashback need Overwolf?

No. Flashback is one app that installs for your Windows account from one setup file. With Outplayed, you install Outplayed plus the Overwolf client, according to its Overwolf listing.

Does Flashback show ads?

No. The app carries no third-party ad or analytics code. Outplayed’s Overwolf listing says it shows ads, and Premium removes them.

Where do my clips go?

By default, clips save as MP4 files in your Videos\Flashback folder, with recognized games in their own folders. They leave your PC only when you upload them or turn on automatic uploads for the games you pick. Outplayed also keeps recordings on your PC by default, according to its privacy policy.

How does Flashback’s performance compare with Outplayed?

We haven’t tested Outplayed, so we don’t publish a performance comparison with it. Our published benchmark covers Medal and NVIDIA ShadowPlay.
